Murphy Miller and his high school friends Mike Brunet and Boyd Favaloro traveled to Cameron Parish Louisiana and other places for the specific purpose of attending the Fur & Wildlife Festival. This trip was on Murphy's Bucket List. Consider it DONE.

We went to the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center prior to attending the Liberty Theater to hear live Cajun music. It was there that the loom made by Antoine Miller (1821-1892), or so I believe after comparing the loom at the Acadian Center with that received from Mike Miller. The loom was kept by the Martel Miller family, descendants of Antoine. In 1976, the Antoine Miller loom, then owned by Lee Miller donated to Preservationist of St. Landry Parish. An Acadian Cultural Center employee stated that their loom came from St. Landry Parish. You be the judge. See photos below.

Murphy also met a new cousin, Vincent Fontenot, also an employee of the Center.

We went to the Liberty Theater, meeting cousin Larry Hollier and his wife Betty there, then enjoying the show. Larry's mother, Lula Pierrottie was sister to Murphy's maternal

After the show we visited with Dr. A. C. Miller, his wife Jeanne Savoy, Clarence Savoy and wife Barbara Miller. Dr. Miller is Murphy's half 4th cousin. Additionally we visited with Dick LeDoux (Lt. Col. USAF retired) and wife Teadie (Bertha Manuel). Murphy and Dick are 3rd cousins once removed.
